Explore the Historic Gillespie County Jail, built in 1885, with monthly tours on the first Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 117 W. San Antonio, Fredericksburg, TX. Admission is $5 for ages 6 and up, with children 5 and under free. This two-story stone structure, used as a jail until 1939, features steel-clad and maximum-security cells. Credit card payments are accepted online or at the Pioneer Museum, while cash is accepted at the jail.
