OroBianco Italian Creamery expands its presence in the Hill Country with the launch of a
downtown Fredericksburg location, adding a variety of new culinary options for both locals and
visitors. The expanded menu includes Italian gelato “cocktails”, water buffalo mozzarella- centered small plates, and innovative butter boards made at OroBianco’s creamery in Blanco, TX.
Situated on the 400 block of East Main Street at the recently-opened “Elk and Main” complex
(the former “Whistle Pik” property), this is the third brick-and-mortar establishment launched by
the company. The new venue brings a fresh crop of innovative menu items, set within a space
that beautifully combines ranch-inspired elements with modern aesthetics, making it an ideal
spot for both casual visits and special occasions, particularly on sunny days when guests can
enjoy the beautiful courtyard centered around an antique water fountain.
While OroBianco has made a name for itself as a casual destination, the downtown venue offers
visitors a more elevated and intimate experience, aiming to cater to families during the day and
food and wine aficionados in the evening.
“Since the inception of OroBianco, we have envisioned a presence in downtown Fredericksburg,
which is both my home, and to me, the epicenter of thoughtful, intentional and elevated food
and wine in the Texas Hill Country”, says Phil Giglio, founder of OroBianco.
OroBianco, Texas’ first and only water buffalo dairy and creamery has been producing Italian-
inspired gelato and cheese from the milk of their own herd, along with other local and premium
ingredients since 2019. With locations in Blanco, Stonewall, Dripping Springs, and now
Fredericksburg, OroBianco has sought to establish itself as one of the premier creameries in the Texas Hill Country.
