Calling all Secret Agents! This spring break, step into the shoes of a World War II spy at the National Museum of the Pacific War's Spring Break Spy School. This engaging drop-in activity takes about 20 minutes, and is an exciting way for kids learn the art of espionage in WWII. As a spy, you’ll crack codes, forge documents, smuggle contraband, and more! Join us for this FREE drop-in activity between 11 AM and 2 PM, from March 16th to 20th in the Degner Classroom (inside the main museum).

South by Cherry Spring (SXCS) is Hill Top Café’s spring break answer to the energy that fills Texas every March during South by Southwest. From March 13 - March 22, we are a nightly gathering place for musicians, locals, travelers, and music lovers looking for something more personal than the crowded city festival. Each evening brings a different artist to the Hill Top stage, spanning Texas roots music, blues, Western swing, fiddle driven Americana, gospel, and conjunto, performed by musicians whose reputations have been built in dance halls, recording studios, and on stages across the country.     The series reflects the musical world that has long revolved around Johnny Nicholas and the Hill Top community, where visiting players, longtime collaborators, and rising artists share the stage in an atmosphere that often leads to unexpected sit ins and spontaneous moments that only happen when great musicians gather in the same room. Dinner and drinks are served nightly, the lights come up on the stage each evening, and for ten days Cherry Spring becomes its own little music festival in the Hill Country.

Join the National Museum of the Pacific War for Stories of Service: 250 Years of the American Military, a family-friendly festival celebrating 250 years of American service through hands-on history, live demonstrations, and community programming. Throughout the day, visitors can explore interactive booths representing every era of American military history, from the Revolution to today. Partner organizations and historians will bring each period to life with artifacts, demonstrations, and frontline stories you can experience up close. The event also features live war dog demonstrations showcasing real military working dogs, a dog obstacle course, a costume contest, and activity stations designed for all ages. Guests can enjoy a keynote speaker presentation, a live choir performance, and a projection-mapping program in the Historic Nimitz Ballroom featuring historical imagery that surrounds the space. Whether you are a lifelong history enthusiast, a military family, or simply looking for an engaging day out, this communal celebration offers a meaningful opportunity to learn how generations of Americans have served their country while connecting with history in an interactive, welcoming environment. This is the 10 Year Running of the Wanderlust Half Marathon, 10k and 5k. We invite you to lace up and run the beautiful streets of Fredericksburg, TX with us. This is a retro, 60s hippie–themed race where peace, love, and running collide. Think colorful vibes, good energy, and a course designed to let your mind wander while your feet do their thing. You don’t have to dress up, but it sure adds to fun. Every registration receives a Finisher Medal, Designer Race Shirt, Custom Bib, and an Epic Finisher After Party in Marktplatz.
