Join the silversmithing workshop at The Yellow Door and Next Door Studios, located at 810 N. Llano St., Fredericksburg, TX, on select dates from March 15, 2025, to January 10, 2026. Guided by instructor Summer Joy Holladay, you'll learn the basics of silversmithing, including using a torch, safety practices, soldering, and more. Create your ring or pendant to take home! Classes run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the fee is $149. A minimum of four participants is required, and cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable. Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Feel the heat of the glassblowing “hot shop” as your group makes ornaments (or suncatchers). Pick colors and (with our glassblower's help) dip the molten glass into colored frit, re-heat the glass in the "glory hole," blow into the blow tube to shape the ornament and knock the ornament off the pipe. 4-6 people/ornaments per hr. Must be 8 years or older. Hot glass requires overnight cooling. Your ornament is ready to pick up the next day or shipping can be arranged for an additional charge.

Experience the unique mix of German Christmas traditions and warm Texan hospitality this Weihnachtszeit, or Christmas season, in Fredericksburg. Celebrate the season with friends, family and neighbors with a nightly lighting of the Community Christmas Tree and German Christmas Pyramid during Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights. Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 25 all are invited to experience a 10-minute audio presentation, featuring the story of the town’s German heritage, holiday carols and concluding with a countdown to the lighting of Marktplatz. Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights continues nightly through Jan. 6. Each evening will feature holiday music starting at 5 p.m., and the 6 p.m. audio presentation and lighting countdown. After the countdown, the music will conclude at 6:30 p.m. Please note that there will be no audio presentation on December 5th during the Parade or December 31 during the New Year's celebration, but the lights will come on as usual.

As we celebrate it's 20th year, Eisbahn is a Texas Hill Country holiday tradition featuring concessions such as hot chocolate, pizza, and candy may be bought near the rink. Seating is available for those who would prefer to watch rather than skate. Schedule varies by day. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and closing early on New Year’s Eve. This holiday season, indulge in the sweetest pairing of all — cookies and wine. Join Blumenthal Farms for a festive tasting flight featuring four holiday-inspired cookies perfectly paired with wine. It’s the ultimate way to sip, savor and celebrate the season. Available by reservation every Thursday through Sunday in December. Reservations guarantee your tasting, but walk-ins are welcome as space allows. $35 per guest includes four cookies and wine pairings.

Celebrate the season with a festive Holiday Treat & Wine Pairing at Texas Wine Collective! Enjoy tasty holiday-inspired bites perfectly matched with our wines for a cheerful and delicious experience. We’re offering four sessions at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:00 PM, with seats limited keeping it fun, cozy, and intimate. Reservations are required, and tickets are $45 per person. As this is a food pairing event, pets are not allowed.

Join us as we come together at the National Museum of the Pacific War for our annual Pearl Harbor Commemoration on Sunday, December 7th beginning at 11:55 am. The event honors the thousands killed or injured during the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. Members of the public are invited to gather at the Pearl Harbor Wall of the Memorial Courtyard. The commemoration will begin with a wreath laying by the Pearl Harbor Wall followed by a brief speech from our CEO. Each attendee will then be given flags to place around the Memorial Courtyard in honor of Pearl Harbor.
