"Join in recognizing the anniversary of Lyndon Johnson's birth by attending the annual wreathlaying ceremony at the Johnson Family Cemetery at 10:00 am. To view the wreathlaying ceremony, stop first at the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park to pick up a free vehicle permit and map. The state park visitor center will open at 8:30 am. Upon leaving the state park, drive 1.5 miles east on Ranch Road 1 and cross the Pedernales River to the entrance gate of the LBJ Ranch. The gate opens at 9:00 am. The Johnson Family Cemetery is located just inside the ranch entrance. Please allow plenty of time to arrive at the cemetery prior to 10:00 am."

Style 208 is delighted to present ART WALK at The Albert Hotel on October 2nd and 3rd, 2026. The Albertina House at 252 E Main Street will be the backdrop to a curated exhibition of artists: Louise LaBauve, BFA, MFA (1938-2019), an accomplished modernist painter who studied under William Lester of The Dallas Nine (known for Early Texas Regionalism), Charles Umlauf, Michael Frary, and others. View her final work, a beautiful contemplative abstract series titled “Meditative Transitions”. Also, Eric Fasking, BFA, will be in attendance painting en plain air. This is an opportunity to meet Eric and view his western scenes, notably “Wanduta” (Chief Red Arrow), and his other masterful oil works which are currently at Style 208. Combined, more than 40 art pieces will be on display under tents on the lawn and inside the Albertina House Friday and Saturday 11-8 pm. Enjoy a collection of vintage Native American turquoise and treasures presented by Mark Brown. We invite you to stop in and browse during your Octoberfest Main Street stroll. On June 15th, 1944, American Marines rushed ashore on the tropical island of Saipan. What they didn't yet know was that they were in for one of the most grueling campaigns seen in WWII, including the largest banzai charge of the entire war. Come see our battle reenactment program featuring our Company K volunteers demonstrating actual WWII weapons and equipment! This presentation is not recommended for small children, pets, or those with heart conditions due to loud noises and simulated combat effects. Programs are offered at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Pacific Combat Zone. Online ticket purchases are highly encouraged. Seating is first come, first served.
