Help the City of Fredericksburg ring in the New Year! This family-friendly event will feature moonwalks and inflatables, games, activities, music, dance performances, face painting, and more! Food & beverages available for sale. At 6:30 p.m., the ball will drop and signify the beginning of 2026!

Enjoy this special tradition started 55 years ago by President and Mrs. Johnson. Enjoy carolers, a live nativity, Santa Claus, refreshments, and of course, the spectacular tree lighting. There will be refreshments and activities near Park Headquarters. Then journey back in time visit the Sauer-Beckmann Farm at dusk. The ambiance created by the lantern-lit path, the real Christmas Tree in the parlor, and the live music transports you back to what an authentic Texas-German Christmas was like at the turn of the century. The tasty homemade treats help too!

Celebrate the Holiday of Lights. Annual Chanukah in Fredericksburg celebration will be held on Thursday, December 15th. Public invited. Light a giant Menorah.

A Fredericksburg Tradition: The Light the Night Christmas Parade For more than 30 years, this beloved illuminated night parade has brought holiday magic to Fredericksburg’s historic Main Street. Held annually on the first Friday of December at 6:30 p.m., the parade travels between Washington and Bowie Streets, delighting thousands of spectators along the route. Grab your lawn chairs and claim your favorite viewing spot—or enjoy the show from reserved bleacher seating (limited seats available) in front of the library, available for purchase now. Presented by H-E-B, this Fredericksburg Chamber signature event features more than 150 dazzling floats, all celebrating the spirit and charm of our community. After the parade, the festivities continue at AfterGlow, located on Marktplatz, with food and beverage vendors, holiday music, and free photos with Santa at Peppermint Platz.
