Tina Atkins
Realtor®
Tina obtained her real estate license 7 years ago assisting buyers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate in Midland, TX. She earned the Bronze Award for Production her first full year in real estate and in 2015 bought and remodeled a 1940's farmhouse in Fredericksburg. Tina made the move to Fredericksburg a number of years ago and now assists buyers and sellers with primary homes, vacation homes, "forever" homes, and land. Her experience has helped her with a wide variety of past clients including first time buyers, Veterans, relocation companies, investors, as well as foreign buyers and sellers. Her passion for real estate started at a very young age as she was frequently enlisted to help her parents maintain their rental properties. Tina owned a rental home in Houston and remodeled a total of 4 of properties to include the 1940's farmhouse in Fredericksburg which she converted to a B&B managed by Absolute Charm Vacation Rentals. Tina also briefly owned a home staging business for a number of years. She has obtained several designations in the course of her real estate career including the Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), and digital real estate marketing techniques (e-PRO) designation. Interestingly, Tina's first language was German - thanks to her German mother who survived WWII and immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager with only two suitcases and $150. Tina's mother instilled a sense of hard work and American patriotic duty along with an interest in foreign languages and cultures. It was this upbringing which led Tina to obtain an M.A. in Political Science/International Relations from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX and subsequently launched a lengthy career as a civil servant for our country. Tina has travelled to and/or lived in a total of 39 countries - having attended junior high school at a U.S. Air Force base in Turkey, serving in Afghanistan in 2010 alongside our country's finest, as well as other lengthy tours throughout Latin America. Previous clients say they appreciate Tina's honesty, patience, and knowledge of the area. Her clients also appreciate her keeping them informed throughout the process and finding the home that best suits them. She is a big believer in working within a buyer/client's budget, not trying to "over-sell" them and negotiating hard for the purchase price. For seller clients, she believes in aggressively marketing their property through professional photography, home staging when warranted, social media campaigns, and a thorough market analysis to sell their property for the most money. When she is not selling real estate Tina enjoys reading books about investing, training for running competitions, going to air shows, and taking care of her two rescue cats. She also volunteers at the Fredericksburg SPCA and is a backup driver for the Golden Hub - Meals on Wheels. Tina is conversant in Spanish.
