“We make and barrel every batch by hand, the old-fashioned way.” Garrison Brothers makes a “sweet mash” using locally grown grain that is ground fresh daily and never reused. The 100% organic corn is harvested from Texas farms in the Panhandle near Hereford, Dalhart and Muleshoe. “Our corn comes from family farms,” says Garrison. “Texas farms grow exceptionally fine corn.” The 2008 vintage of Garrison Brothers was made with #1 organic yellow dent corn. Garrison Brothers offers several tours including the “Sit and Sip” Tour, a guided walk of the ranch-distillery. You’ll visit the kitchen, smell the sweet corn cooking, taste our distiller’s beer, and nose fermenting sweet mash. You’ll also tour the legendary Garrison Brothers stillhouse and sample fresh-flowing 135-proof “white dog”, right from the stills. Finally, we’ll walk you through our showcase barrel barn and pour you a small sample of our limited release Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
