San Antonio League of Sidewalk Astronomers

“The Astronomy Club Everyone is talking about!” We are an organization dedicated to the enjoyment of astronomy in all shapes and forms in San Antonio and South Texas. You do not need to own any type of astronomical equipment, just an interest in the sky and enjoyment with others. SALSA conducts numerous stargazing activities each month, both for members only and for the public. Check our calendar of events regularly so you don’t miss anything! SALSA has a variety of locations in the area that are used for stargazing: Lady Bird Johnson Park – Fredericksburg, Texas Garner State Park Fort McKavett State Park Guadalupe River State Park Wimberley, Texas (Club Only Observing Site) Membership is FREE to everyone with an interest in astronomy and all aspects of space sciences. We are more than happy to travel to your school or event to speak on astronomy and/or setup some telescopes to show attendees the night sky. Some of our presenters are even certified by NASA!
