Learn about nature’s nighttime navigators and tour some of our brightest stars and constellations (weather-dependent).
Join us for an introduction to nature’s natural nighttime navigators, then spend some time looking up at the night sky as the park ranger points out commonly seen stars and constellations (weather permitting). Optional telescope viewing will follow the presentation if time and weather permits.
If you’re new to the night sky or want to spend a relaxing evening under the stars, this program is for you! Note: Please do not use cell phones or white lights once the program begins.
Meet: This program will take place at the bottom of the Gazebo steps.
Bring:
A camp chair, blanket, or pad to sit on (optional, but we will be on rocks)
Flashlight or headlamp (red light preferred; only used for getting back to your campsite/vehicle to save our night vision!)
Comfortable clothes and shoes
Water
