Sunrise Summit Hike at Enchanted Rock

Seize the day with an early start! We’ll rise with the sun as we hike the summit of Enchanted Rock.  Take advantage of the extra hour of sleep as we “spring forward.” Join us for a sunrise hike to the summit of Enchanted Rock!  Along the way, hear about the history and natural features of the park as the sun rises against the pink granite. At the top, enjoy the panoramic views. This tour ends at the summit, where you are then free to explore on your own, ask the Park Ranger questions, or hike back down for your next adventure.

This hike is challenging, ascending and descending 425 ft. in a 1.4-mile round-trip trail. 

Meet: At the Gazebo.  Bring: Water (32oz per person minimum), hiking shoes/boots, hat and/or sunscreen – dress for the weather!

Price: This event is free with the purchase of a Day Pass or an overnight Camping reservation. Reservations can be made online at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Entry fees are $8 per adult ages 13+, children 12 and younger are free. For severe weather, this event will be cancelled.
