Easter – Fredericksburg is home to many historic churches, including Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, one of Texas’ famed ‘painted churches’. If you’re the worshipping kind, visitors are always welcome at the beautiful (and numerous!) churches. On Good Friday, you can take part in the Church to Church Walk, which takes place on the grounds of Bethany Lutheran Church, and its sister church, Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. This candlelight vigil is conducted annually after the Good Friday services.

Plus, in April, bluebonnet season is in full swing! You can visit Willow City Loop, or local favorite, Wildseed Farms, to see a truly dazzling array of Texas’ favorite flower in all its homegrown glory!
